Compliance & safety

We take our responsibility to customers seriously when it comes to industry regulation.

Drumack keeps clients informed of changes affecting the commercial vehicle sector — including type-approval requirements, LOLER and PUWER regulations, and the legal requirement for side and rear conspicuity markings on newly registered vehicles over 7,500kg GVW.

Under LOLER (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations), all tail lifts must undergo a Statutory Thorough Examination at least twice a year. Operators are required to ensure:

  • Lift operations are carried out safely
  • Staff are trained in operating tail lifts
  • Lifts are maintained in good repair
  • Lifts comply with current legal requirements
  • Failure to act on defects identified in a thorough examination report can result in serious legal consequences.
  • All Drumack engineers are qualified as “competent persons” under
  • LOLER and can carry out these statutory examinations on all makes of tail lift.
